Happy New Year! It is so great to have everyone back! The students seem well rested and ready to learn. We have been in school for 75 days and it is amazing how much everyone has learned. We have so many amazing things planned in the weeks to come and we look forward to watching your child grow. Thank you for all you do!
The students have been busy learning about things from Long Ago. We loved seeing their timelines and how much they have changed over time. They looked at artifacts from long ago and worked together to show how various things have changed over time. They learned about the First Thanksgiving and dressed up as a pilgrim or native american. It was so much fun!
Special Homework
Due: Monday, October 10
Dear Families,
Our students are working hard on building a three-dimensional community in class. We are having them build buildings based on the occupation they chose in last weeks homework.
We would also like each student have a building that represents their house in the community (no bigger that 6×6). Please be creative and have fun with this. We will add their “address” at school.
Our Community exhibition will be in the Multi-Purpose room on Wednesday, October 12 @ 1:30. We would also like to have each child dress up based on the occupation they chose. (police officer, teacher, doctor etc.) We will not be dressing up at school for Halloween.

Today we had our First Distinguished Dolphin. Students were honored in a special award ceremony for respect and commitment. Congratulations to all of our award winners and their families for doing such an amazing job! !
